Tidewater Chavurah has moved its second-Friday Shabbat service so that it can celebrate Shabbat during Hanukkah. The festivities will begin with a latke dinner at 6 pm, continuing with a Shabbat service at 7 pm, followed by traditional desserts and even more celebration.
The site is Old Donation Episcopal Church, 4449 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, in Alfriends House at the back of the church campus. The chavurah will not meet for services on Dec. 8.
