Sonya Eisenberg Lachman

Norfolk —Sonya Eisenberg Lachman, of Los Angeles, California, died August 29, 2013 in a Los Angeles nursing home. She was born in the USSR and lived in Portsmouth, Va. before moving to Los Angeles many years ago. Sonya was a former member of Chevra T’hilim Congregation on Effingham St.

She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Martin Lachman, of Los Angeles; her devoted brother, Herman Muni Eisenberg of Norfolk, Va; three nieces, Adelle Adie Adler of Norfolk; Myra Kramer and Rhonda Vogel of Newport News; and many caring cousins.

A graveside service was held at Chevra T’hilim Cemetery on George Washington Highway in Portsmouth by Rabbi David Goldstein. Sturtevant Funeral Home.
