Virginia Beach —Rosalia Kaplan, 83, of Richmond, formerly of Virginia Beach, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017.She was preceded in death by her husband, Abraham Kaplan.
She was the beloved mother of her children, Andy Kaplan (Toni) and Lisa Fantasia; beloved grandmother of Tommy Kaplan.
Rosalia was born in Holland and was a Holocaust survivor at the age of 11. She came to the United States in 1956, where she met and married her husband of 54 years. She was retired from Thalhimer’s with 15 years of service. Rosalia was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed art, was an active volunteer in her community and was generous to a fault.
A graveside ceremony was held in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rabbi Israel Zoberman officiating. Donations to the American Diabetes Association, diabetes.org.
