To prepare for this year’s Date with the State on Wednesday, Feb. 8, the Community Relations Council of the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater’s Legislative Action Committee will host a meeting to discuss potential issues that the delegation will present to General Assembly representatives. Past issues during Virginia Jewish Advocacy Day have included social service programs to care for Virginians, support for local agencies including Jewish Family Service and Beth Sholom Village, the Virginia-Israel Advisory Board, combating bias legislation and more.

For more information, e-mail Wendy Weissman, CRC assistant director, at WWeissman@ujft.org or call 965-6107. To RSVP (required) for this lunch meeting, or for the CRC’s annual Jewish Advocacy Day, visit JewishVA.org/CRCDateWiththeState.
