An evening of “Bagels and Bluegrass” will coincide with the Jewish Museum and Cultural Center’s focus on Appalachia from April through July.
Included in the program will be Jean Haskell, Ph.D., retired director of the Center for Appalachian Studies and Services of East Tennessee State University, who will speak about the Jews of Appalachia.
Klezmer music will be performed by the popular Simcha Klezmorim of Tidewater. Another highlight of the evening will be Bob Zentz, accompanied by Jeanne McDougall, who will entertain with music and stories.
Refreshments will be provided by Yorgo’s Bageldashery in Norfolk.
Donations will be accepted to benefit the Jewish Museum and Cultural Center.
