Norfolk —Isidore Simonoff, 98, died Monday, August 24, 2015, at Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia.
He was a native of Brooklyn, N. Y. and lived in Norfolk for most of his life. He was the son of the late Max and Rachel Rappaport Simonoff and was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Segal Simonoff and his brother, Harold Simonoff.
Mr. Simonoff retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Rework Facility after 35 years as an electrical engineer. He was a founding member of Temple Israel.
He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Kreitzer and her husband Lawrence of Virginia Beach and his son, N. Jerry Simonoff and his wife Sharon of Midlothian, Va. He is also survived by his brother-inlaw, Joseph Segal of Norfolk and seven grandchildren; Andrew Simonoff and his wife Casey, Lori Wise, Jennifer Lebow, Mitchell Lebow and his wife Summer, Angela Holcombe, Jennifer Kreitzer and Rebecca Smith and her husband Oren and seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside funeral services were held at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rabbi Michael Panitz officiating.
