Tidewater Jewish Foundation and the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater’s Young Adult Division are co-hosting a food drive for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia.
During September’s Hunger Action Month, Feeding America, which is a nationwide network of food banks, united to urge individuals to take action in their communities.
In Tidewater 166,020 people are counted as “food insecure,” including 41,420 children.
Containers for collecting the cans and boxes of food are in the lobby of the Sandler Family Campus.
