Benjamin Reed Saunders on becoming a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, September 17. Benjamin is the son of Stephanie and Jeff Saunders, brother to Carleigh Saunders, and grandson to larry and Natalie Saunders of Virginia Beach, Marie Eardley and Murray Eckstein of Medford, N.J., and Robert Eardley of Myrtle Beach, S.C.

In the fall, Benjamin will enter seventh grade at Cape Henry Collegiate School. Benjamin has been involved with baseball since he was five years old. During the last four years, he has played on various travel baseball teams as a pitcher and first baseman. When he’s not on the baseball field, he can be found on the golf course or enjoying a day of fishing on his kayak.
